All workshops are accessible to non-French speakers.

Fox & Crow Chaussette Puppet Making workshop (Age 6-9)

A puppet-making workshop based on the famous Aesop fable The Fox & The Crow! Translated into French and turned into a poem by the super famous poet Jean de La Fontaine in the 17th century, the fable is equally popular in the UK as it is in France.

After a short introduction to the story, participants make their own puppets out of socks and then get to manipulate them. We also have fun practising a few key French phrases from Tania’s own billingual version of the fable and re-enact the story together. Printed copies of the text are handed out to take home.

Lapin Book Making workshop (Age 3 to 5 with parents or 6-9)

A simple book making workshop based on the puppet character Lapin. Participants are given all the tools they need to create their own story for the French rabbit, put it down to paper, illustrate it and take it home.

Can be divised in conjunction with a mini Lapin show or a Lapin is Hungry book reading.

French Theatre in a Shoebox workshops (age 8-11)

A series of workshops combining Theatre, Puppetry and Craft. Participants attend a short bilingual puppet show starring Lapin and his Garden friends, make their own Shoebox Theatre and puppets, inspired by the show, write a simple story using French words and perform their work for their families.

Our aim is that every child enjoys our ‘Little World’ and goes home with a bit of Frenchness in their hearts.
