Classes / Workshops
We believe children learn best while playing, so we have carefully designed a programme of classes and workshops to engage them
in fun and familiar activities, based on creating and playing… in French !
The Classes
Our programme is flexible.
We can adapt the classes to suit the children’s ages, knowledge of French and levels of development. Each class is a mixture of fun activities with 2 special times :
- Meeting LES COUSINS  (the French finger puppets, especially made for us)
- Filling LA BOITE A MOTS (the Box of Words) with picture cards of the words the children have learnt.
We want to encourage the children to keep up their learning, even when we are gone ! So we leave a few things behind for the staff to look after and use for potential activities :
- La Boîte à Mots full of words and pictures
- Our own coloured map of Europe
- Songs lyrics and vocabulary list from the show.
The Workshops 
These have been designed for primary schools, as a follow-up to the puppet show. With our help, the children make their own French puppet and get to hear and speak a little more French at the same time. Both classes and workshops meet the 4 aims of the Curriculum for Excellence. |
